CIRCA is a small collection of instrumentals from somewhere around 2011-2013.
I was listening to a lot of Clams Casino prior to and during the creation of this project, which is probably quite evident. (s/o Based God & Clammy Clams!) I loved the work he was doing with Lil B in that era and I wanted to emulate it in my own way.
My computer crashed somewhere along the way and some original files went missing. Salvaging what I could, I reconstructed a couple beats and worked them to their current state. Others I couldn't find and they ended up as is. I compiled the tracks and handed them over to Al Smith at Hoda-Block Records in Phoenix, Arizona. Doing the best he could with what he had to work with, he cleaned up the rough edges and created the mix-down you hear now.
